A feeling that hard to tell.
Two cowboys engaged in a homosexual love
The pain of Ennis’s wife
The pressure from the community
The desire of being together
The fear of the consequences
The acceptance of Jack’s mother
And finally, the love that can never come back
And Lee said that the reason why he accepted the film is because he is moved by this American love and the extraordinary style in which the author tells it. When he reached the end of the story, Jack hang Ennie’s shirt and his own on one hanger, he broke into tears.
Love by itself is beautiful, no matter homosexual or heterosexual. What’s more, love is something you need to continuously work on, just like marriage and parenting.
In my heart, how do I judge weather I actually accept something? I will ask myself if that happened on tonghua, can I accept that or at least tolerate that? The answer is: anyway, I have to. Because tonghua will definitely have his own life and he deserves to have the life that make him happy. What I can do is to support him and try to help him out in case of trouble.
From Febrary, I also watched “Desperate Housewives”. The ways that Americans deal with their marital troubles impress me very much. Examples are: Straight forward, Clearness about each other’s baseline, Awareness of mutual rights etc.
